Description
The days will be active and interactive with a mix of mini lectures, workshops, peer coaching, networking, sharing and socialising. There is an emphasis on translating theory into practice and vice versa. You will be given opportunities to
share and learn and leave with an action plan.
There will be four themes:
• Being a leader, growing leadership
• Leading Learning and Priority Learners
• Leading Students
• Leading the people – hard stuff with staff
Topics include: Leading change, how to be that efficient manager, dealing with difficult adolescents, having the challenging conversations with parents, students, staff and other SLT, realising Maori potential, engaging Pasifika students, managing the shift in role, ‘imposter syndrome’, coaching, managing stress and reactions to behaviour.
Course registration includes course, catering during course time and course dinner on Wednesday 22nd May 2019.
